Want to Volunteer at a Red Sox Game?

The Massachusetts Service Alliance (MSA), our new fiscal sponsor, wants to connect more with Alums and offered us two great volunteer opportunities for those who are interested.

MSA is hosting an AmeriCorps table at 5 Red Sox games during AmeriCorps week (May 16th – 20th). MSA has reserved 2 spots per night for AmeriCorps Alums to help staff the table, talk about AmeriCorps, give out handouts, etc. The details are as follows:
–          Games start at 7:10pm each day Monday, May 16th through Friday, May 20th
–          Volunteers need to arrive by 6pm
–          Volunteers must be at the table until the 3rd inning, and may attend the game afterwards in standing-room only section

If you are interested in volunteering for any of these games, please email Alicia Newton at anewton@mass-service.org with the date(s) that you are available. This will be a first-come first-serve opportunity.

MSA is hosting its Statewide Conference on Service and Volunteering on May 23rd at the Sheraton Framingham. They are looking for 10 Alum volunteers to facilitate workshop sessions. This will entail making sure presenters have the correct equipment, helping to set up chairs, etc. before the session begins. Volunteers will be able to attend the conference at no charge, and can attend the workshops that interest them.

If you would like to participate, please email Hilary Sullivan at americorpsalumsboston@gmail.com and she will send you the information on how to register.

If you have further questions about either opportunity, please don’t hesitate to contact either us or Alicia.
